Niels Schoorlemmer

At EGEN, I work on projects related to energy savings in industry and large scale sustainable energy projects. I talk to clients about energy and sustainability and come up with practical opportunities derived from laws and regulations. In this way, I contribute to the development of projects with a large impact. The misconception that sustainable is expensive, is ever-present. However, good sustainable business cases can be created. We do this for innovations with the great combination of market income, complemented with grants.

I get most satisfaction out of projects in which all energetic systems are optimally utilised. Examples are supplying biogas and heat to other companies in the area or using residual heat to preheat combustion air. Or using waste products to create new products.

In my spare time, I develop cooperative wind and solar energy projects. Besides that, I enjoy (beach) volleyball, swimming and race biking.
